Throughout recent years, we have all witnessed Google's penetration into all forms of media. I remember back in the beginning of high school, I used only Yahoo for my searches, but today I exclusively use Google. It is something that I did not intend, but just seemed to happen. This is my personal example of how Google somewhat naturally came into my life.
The article spoke about how Google is leaking into other forms of media. This was evident when Google acquired Youtube a few years back, and everyone was wondering what would become of our viewing pleasure. Google then began to come out with GoogleEarth, GoogleNews, and other forms of media. Personally, I think it makes everyone's lives easier to access information. It may seem like a monopoly, but I just see it as a top-reigning company.
Overall I am an advocate of Google. They have reached the highest point of success, so why should they stop from going even higher? I feel that they have contributed to innovation within the world of technology with their Android phone and other software becoming more and more evident in our everyday lives. The article seemed to bash on Google's take over, but I do not seem to think of it as a big deal. In order to grow, Google must reach out and expand or else where is there to go but down? I feel that Google will soon invade many sources of media, but not all, but work towards making everyone else's lives much easier. I'd work for Google anyday.
